Agent Role Overview

As a Real Estate Agent on the Life & Homes platform, you have access to a powerful suite of tools to help you succeed in your daily work. This page explains your role, permissions, and what you can do within the platform.

The Agent role is designed for licensed real estate agents who work directly with buyers and sellers. Agents are the primary users of Life & Homes, and the platform is built around your needs and workflows.

As an agent, you can:

  • ✅ Manage contacts and client relationships
  • ✅ Track prospects through the sales funnel
  • ✅ Communicate via integrated messaging
  • ✅ Respond to chat requests from potential clients
  • ✅ Search and browse MLS listings
  • ✅ Save favorite properties
  • ✅ Share listings with clients
  • ✅ Create and manage your own listings
  • ✅ Set up automated hotsheets for clients
  • ✅ Schedule property showings
  • ✅ Set reminders and tasks
  • ✅ Manage your calendar
  • ✅ Coordinate with clients and other agents
  • ✅ View your performance dashboard
  • ✅ Access analytics and reports
  • ✅ Track conversion rates and metrics
  • ✅ Monitor client engagement
  • ✅ Customize your profile
  • ✅ Set notification preferences
  • ✅ Configure privacy settings
  • ✅ Manage account details

As an agent, you do not have access to:

  • ❌ Administrative functions (user management, platform configuration)
  • ❌ Broker-level controls and reporting
  • ❌ Marketing staff tools and campaign management
  • ❌ System-wide settings and integrations

These capabilities are reserved for users with Admin or Broker roles.

You have full access to:

  • Your own contacts and prospects
  • Your own listings and hotsheets
  • Your own messages and communications
  • Your own performance metrics

You can view (but not always modify):

  • MLS listings from the broader marketplace
  • Shared contacts within your brokerage (if configured)
  • Public-facing property information
  • Your client data is private and secure
  • You can only access data you’re authorized to see
  • All communications are encrypted
  • Your activity is logged for security purposes

A typical agent workflow in Life & Homes looks like this:

  1. Start your day on the Dashboard to see what’s new
  2. Check Messages for client communications
  3. Review Chat Requests from potential new clients
  4. Update Prospects with new information and next steps
  5. Search Listings to find properties for clients
  6. Schedule Showings and coordinate appointments
  7. Update Contacts with notes from interactions
  8. Review Analytics to track your performance
