Quick Start: Your First 15 Minutes

Welcome to Life & Homes! This quick start guide will walk you through the essential features so you can hit the ground running. By the end of this 15-minute tutorial, you’ll be ready to manage listings, connect with clients, and streamline your daily workflow.

Make sure you have:

  • Your Life & Homes login credentials
  • Access to the platform (mobile app or web browser)

Your Dashboard is your home base. When you first log in, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the layout.

What you’ll see:

  • Activity Feed — Recent updates and notifications
  • Quick Actions — Shortcuts to common tasks
  • Key Metrics — Your performance at a glance
  • Upcoming Items — Tasks and appointments that need attention

Let’s find a property to get comfortable with the search tools.

  1. Navigate to Listings from the main menu
  2. Use the search bar to enter a city or neighborhood
  3. Apply filters to narrow results (price range, bedrooms, property type)
  4. Tap on a listing to view full details
  5. Save a listing to your favorites for easy access later

Key features to notice:

  • Property photos and virtual tours
  • Detailed property information
  • Share button for sending to clients
  • Save/favorite functionality

Your contacts are the foundation of your business. Let’s add one now.

  1. Go to Contacts from the main menu
  2. Tap Add Contact or the + button
  3. Enter basic information:
    • Name
    • Phone number
    • Email address
  4. Add any relevant notes (e.g., “Interested in 3BR homes in downtown”)
  5. Save the contact

Hotsheets automatically notify you when new listings match your criteria — perfect for staying ahead of the market.

  1. Navigate to Hotsheets
  2. Tap Create New Hotsheet
  3. Define your search criteria:
    • Location (city, neighborhood, or zip code)
    • Price range
    • Property type
    • Bedrooms/bathrooms
  4. Name your hotsheet (e.g., “Downtown Condos Under $500K”)
  5. Save and enable notifications

Now you’ll receive alerts whenever matching properties hit the market.

Communication is key to closing deals. Let’s send a quick message.

  1. Go to Messages from the main menu
  2. Tap New Message or the compose icon
  3. Select a contact (or add a new one)
  4. Type your message
  5. Hit Send

You can also share listings directly within a conversation — just tap the share icon when viewing a property.
